70th Anniversary

70th Anniversary

Here are two videos from Charlie Weigand, Sigma Gamma's founder, wishing the fraternity good luck and reflecting on Sigma Gamma.

Here is a brief video of us doing the classic Sigma Gamma Fraternity Song after our historic group picture.  The end is cut off but it's really an awesome video!  The circle of brothers on the front lawn of Sheldon Hall was so large that it was impossible to capture in a picture.  It was the largest ever gathering of brothers doing a Sigma Gamma song at any time during our 70 year history thus far!

Here's a video of what the scene was like at Steamer's during the 70th anniversary.  It was a really terrific event!

Sigma Gamma's 70th anniversary was in June, 2017. @ 255 alumni traveled from near and far to gather in Oswego to celebrate the strong bonds of brotherhood every era of the fraternity has enjoyed. We took some ceremonial group pictures, including a large one on the steps of Sheldon Hall. This particular picture was incredibly symbolic as the fraternity was conceived and was founded in a small cabin just a few hundred feet away from where this picture was taken.

Every Gamma brother in attendance could feel the presence of those who came before them and brothers who've since passed on. All in all it was a wonderful gathering of brothers from every era of the fraternity.
