Fraternity Song

Fraternity Song

(before any singing, brothers “warm up” as a group by humming, then on a lead brother's cue, the Sigma Gamma Fraternity Song begins…)
PROUDLY WE HAIL YOU
WE’LL NEVER FAIL YOU
YEARS MAY GO BY, BUT OUR FRIENDSHIPS REMAIN
FRIENDSHIPS REMAIN, HOW CAN BROTHERHOOD DIE
SIGMA GAMMA, HAIL – TO – THEE.

PLEDGE TO EACH OTHER
ALWAYS A BROTHER
AS WE GO ON WE WILL STRENGTHEN OUR BONDS,
STRENGTHEN OUR BONDS
THEY WILL NEVER BE GONE
SIGMA GAMMA, HAIL – TO – THEE.

**** (first verse is then repeated, but hummed, not sung)

*** Then, louder now, the second verse is repeated

PLEDGE TO EACH OTHER
ALWAYS A BROTHER!
AS WE GO ON, WE WILL STRENGTHEN OUR BONDS
STRENGTHEN OUR BONDS!
THEY WILL NEVER BE GONE
SIGMA GAMMA, HAIL! TO! THEE!

In 2012, Michael (“Jamm”) Joseph documented the song on film and loaded it to YouTube.  On the video below, the first six minutes are of us arranging a group photo.  Then, at the 6:50 mark, Gamma brothers demonstrate the Sigma Gamma fraternity song.
On June 10th 2017, for the 70th Anniversary Reunion, a large group of Gamma brothers assembled on the front lawn at Sheldon Hall to belt out a spirited rendition of the famous Sigma Gamma Fraternity Song.  Here is a partial clip.
