A long time tradition in the fraternity is for the active brothers to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  Why is that?  Because several of our original founding brothers were of Irish descent and over the years there have been many Gamma brothers who've enjoyed their Irish Heritage.  So, we make sure that we hit the books and the Library in the days leading up to St. Paddy's Day and then on the actual day, we let off a little steam. Those brothers who have tests that day or assignments due focus on them, as they should.  But, typically there's a point in the day that we all gather.  And in doing so, we become even closer as a fraternity.  And it's all good.  Don't worry, we use common sense.  There are some brothers who are "designated" to look out for others.  And we all wear some kind of green.

Sigma Gamma and St. Patrick's Day, two traditions that will always go together.
