Ways to Support Gamma

Supporting Sigma Gamma

There are many ways that alumni and friends of the fraternity can support Sigma Gamma.  Here are a few examples.  If you were a Gamma brother, you will always be a Gamma brother. Nothing means more to the active fraternity than support and encouragement from Gamma alumni.
  • Financial donations, overseen by the Sigma Gamma Alumni Board, can support multiple initiatives (see page devoted to projects)
  • Alumni can make arrangements in their estate planning to make a donation in their memory or in the memory of another brother(s)
  • Alumni can donate their time and skills to work with brothers to improve the fraternity house.  The fraternity can always benefit by handy alumni who can show the active brothers how to improve the house, and customize certain aspects of the House
  • Alumni can provide access to old composites they may have copies of in 9 x 12 versions so we can arrange for replica copies to be made
  • Alumni can donate old colors they may no longer fit into that would be prized by active brothers
  • Alumni can donate fraternity memorabilia they may have
  • Alumni can look through their contact lists on their phones and computers and other places and forward to us the names and contact info of brothers they may be in touch with.  We are constantly trying to expand the comprehensiveness of our "master alumni database".  This takes a concerted, steady effort and can be improved by more alumni providing contact details for alumni that may not be as in touch as others
  • Alumni can make plans to sit on some active meetings of the fraternity on Sunday nights.  It's always helpful for active brothers to benefit from the advice of experienced brothers
  • Alumni can participate in the Formal Inductions ceremonies we typically hold in late April/early May
  • Alumni can search through their house and set aside household items, tools, you name it ... anything.  It could likely be put to use
  • Alumni can just travel to Oswego and stop by the House and share some stories and pictures from when they were an active brother
  • Alumni can write to the fraternity and offer encouragement and advice
